Frequently asked questions
Answers,
without marketing fluff.
The questions we hear most often, in the way we always answer them: straight.
01 What does an average bathroom renovation cost?
A complete bathroom renovation typically lands between €15,000 and €40,000, depending on size, materials and complexity of the plumbing.
For a real number we start with an on-site survey. The quote breaks down each phase separately, including material spec.
02 How long does a bathroom renovation take?
Typically 3 to 5 weeks for a full renovation: demolition, new plumbing, underfloor heating, tile work and fixtures.
Faster is possible by agreement; complex projects may run a bit longer. The exact schedule is in the quote.
03 Who handles the permit?
We do. Permit applications, structural calculations, aesthetic-review where required, and council coordination. You won't need to visit the municipality.
04 Fixed price or time & materials?
Default: fixed price per phase, locked in the quote. You know upfront what the total will be.
Any additional work is quoted separately before execution and signed by you. No surprises on the final invoice.
05 How long from quote to start?
On average 6 to 10 weeks: 2-3 weeks for survey and quote, then 4-6 weeks for material ordering and scheduling.
Urgent projects can move faster. Ask us if you have a tight deadline.
06 Do you take on small jobs?
Yes, if they fit our schedule. Plaster touch-ups, painting, a single tile repair or a kitchen install. Just ask.
07 What warranty do you offer?
Workmanship: 1 year standard (UAV 2012). Hidden defects: 5 years (Dutch Civil Code art. 7:761). Structural elements: 10 years. Materials: manufacturer warranty.
08 What if I want to change something during the build?
No problem. We document the change, send a quote for the additional work, you sign off, then we execute. No unpleasant surprises on the final bill.
09 Do you work outside your area?
Our home base is North Holland. Projects elsewhere are possible depending on schedule and scope, sometimes with a travel surcharge. Call us and we'll work it out.
10 Can you handle architecture / design too?
Yes. We work with partner architects or step into your existing design. First advice and orientation are always free of charge.
11 How often are you on-site?
Our project lead is on-site daily. You receive a weekly update with photos and progress via a shared project dashboard.
12 Do you work with English-speaking clients?
Absolutely. We work with expats regularly. Quotes, contracts and on-site communication are all available in English.
